Heureka, we have done it. After the flooding and other hurdles we are happy to inform you that the 1st Austrian Scotch Whisky Museum opens its gates once again at 6th October 2002.
After the change of some parts of the furniture, the new floor and other little improvements all the work has been done and the museum is still there for its friends and guests. Tours through the museum, tasting and other events are once again possible.
But we also have to thank all our friends, guests and visitors of the museum for their patience to wait for the reopening. Be sure your waiting will be rewarded. Otherwise we have to thank you all for the financial help we got from you. Our special thank goes to Zeno Geisseler from Switzerland and Clemens Dillmann from www.whisky.de for their charity auction. We have also to thank all our friends who bid at this auction and otherwise who supported this auction with lots. Equal if anybody has spent one lot or more, if he comes from Austria, Europe or from overseas – be sure of our everlasting thank.
As my friend Jim McEwan said: „This is not a glass of whisky, this is the blood of Scotland, the soul of a tiny nation“. We my beloved friends are united through this blood and soul. Many thanks to you all and ALBA GU BRATH.
